Student assistant (f/m/x) for 60 hours a month (Financial Markets)
The Halle Institute for Economic Research (IWH) – Member of the Leibniz Association seeks to hire a student assistant (f/m/x) for 60 hours a month to support the research group “Risk Shifting in Financial Markets and Sustainable Finance” in the Department of Financial Markets starting as soon as possible. The contract will be limited until February 28, 2025. The ideal candidate studies Economics or Finance with a keen interest in Empirical Banking and Sustainable Finance. We offer profound insights into applied research in an economic research institute and an international, research-driven environment.
Tasks
The main task of the candidate is to support various research projects of the “Risk Shifting in Financial Markets and Sustainable Finance” research group by processing (financial) data, conducting literature research, and possibly assisting with empirical analysis.
Qualification and requirements
- coding experience; basic skills in Stata and Python are an advantage
- experience in using statistical/econometric software to manage and process data
- very high diligence in dealing with large data sets
